These classic Spanish colonial issues of the Philippines feature the youthful portrait of King Alfonso XIII of Spain as a child, engraved with fine horizontal lines within an ornate frame. Printed with “FILIPINAS” at top, they were issued during the late 19th century when the Philippines was a Spanish colony.
