Installation Overview:

Before You Begin:
Always check with your local council for regulations regarding flagpole installation on residential properties. Requirements may vary.

You Will Need:

• Post hole shovel or auger

• Gravel for drainage (minimum 100mm depth)

• Quick-set or standard concrete

• Level or plumb bob

• Electrical tape

Step-by-Step Summary:

1. Dig a hole approx. 300mm in diameter and 600mm deep

2. Fill the bottom 100mm with gravel to assist drainage

3. Place the PVC sleeve/spigot into the hole and insert the bottom pole section into the sleeve (tape as needed for fit)

4. Align the cleat direction

5. Pour concrete around the sleeve to secure it

6. Use a level or plumb bob to ensure correct alignment

7. Allow at least 72 hours for the concrete to fully cure before assembly

8. Slide in the remaining sections and fit halyard and cleat

9. Raise your flag and enjoy!

Important Safety Notes:

• Call Before You Dig: Dial 1100 to check for underground pipes and cables

• Avoid using in severe weather or strong wind conditions

• Do not fly flags larger than 1800 x 900 mm on this pole

• During electrical storms, avoid handling the flagpole

• For security, wrap the halyard once around the pole before cleating the rope
