Mary O’Malley’s work combines a fascination with nature with a love of pattern, decoration, and ornamentation. Morphing nature with the decorative, she creates an alternate “natural” world characterized by flora, fauna, dense patterns, and a maximalist sensibility.

This piece is from Mary's ETA34 collection, Wallflowers. In Mary's own words: "In my latest series I created laser cut panels featuring flora and fauna. I imagine these pieces as parts of my paintings that have leapt out of the frame and asserted themselves in three dimensions."
