Since 2015, Genuine Tea has pushed the industry forward, from pioneering microground tea lattes in Canada to bringing direct-trade matcha from the Katō family to cafés nationwide. Now, we’re introducing a first for us — and for the Canadian café scene: a purpose-built matcha blend crafted specifically for barista drink programs. What do we meed by Premium A Grade? Premium A is made from only spring harvest tencha. The tea leaves are shade grown for 15-30 days before harvest and then milled into a fine powder before being blended into our signature Barista Matcha. The tencha is grown in Guizhou and Kagoshima. The resulting flavour profile has notes of vanilla and a strong umami. The colour is a beautiful vibrant green that will really allow your latte to pop.
