The tiny Japanese salt water Akoya oyster produces high quality round pearls with a high lustre in sizes up to 7.5mm. Freshwater pearls are a mussel type oyster that produce larger pearl sizes. A Mabe pearl is a half pearl ideal for much larger pearl rings as it has a flat back where it has formed on the shell of the oyster rather than inside its two halves. We hand pick the best of these options for a high quality lustre. The whites and pinks are naturally occurring colours, the greys and blacks are dyed.

• Gold Options: Choose from 9ct white or yellow gold for the 3mm round band of the Round Pearl Ring with matching setting. For a two tone look choose the silver band with a 9ct yellow gold setting. This shape band helps seat the round shape of the pearl perfectly.
