RAK5804 exposes IO pins and I2C and UART to the user's application ports through 3 connectors. Users can connect through these connectors, sensors, digital I/O, analog I/O, and slave devices through the I2C and UART ports in order to complete their final IoT solution.

RAK5804 combined with the RAK4631 WisBlock Core gives your solution an interface to non-standard sensors and user interfaces. This interface is the bridge between such sensors and LoRaWan® communication, LoRa® point to point connections or BLE.

RAK5804 is ideal for battery-powered applications because the WisBlock system allows to power down the module complete to reduce the power consumption of the system even more. The circuits are as well protected by TVS and prevent output power overload with a PTC thermistor.
