The new models within the Arena collection bring greater flexibility and scalability to the Sonus faber custom installation line, enabling high-performance system design across a wider range of room sizes and configurations. In every application, they preserve the unmistakable Sonus faber Natural Sound.

Phase Coherent Design

Measuring a loudspeaker system by focusing only on the modulus of the sound pressure level, that is, how many dB reach your ear according to frequency, is not enough.

By also analyzing the acoustic phase between each driver, we can design crossover networks that predict the timing differences between the drivers as they reach your ears and adjust their behavior across a wide frequency range to achieve a wider and more detailed soundstage.

Phase Plug

The phase plug is designed to improve the midrange’s off-axis response, linearizing its frequency response at the highest frequencies of its useful bandwidth.

Organic Basket

The organic basket, fully designed in Italy, follows a non-symmetrical pattern that gives the basket greater structural stiffness while allowing the cone to move as it should. If the basket were too closed at the rear of the driver, it would create additional air stiffness and disturb the cone’s movement. This issue is solved by the pattern created in the organic basket.

Camelia Surround Pattern

The non-circular surround pattern helps reduce the radial vibration modes caused by the axis-symmetric coupling of the surround to the cone.
