Build and Design Quality

The adept mod is not the smallest starter kit on the market. But it's small enough that you can pocket it. It weighs about 157.7grams. But most of the weight is because of the larger battery.

The body of the Adept is covered by a silicon layer that gives the device a soft and grippy feel. The micro USB port is also covered with a silicone plug. The top and bottom of the device are metallic, which makes the device durable and improves the aesthetic appeal by creating accents.

The buttons on the device are strong and sturdy and click without a rattle. Because this is a shock-resistant mode, the buttons and the screen are made out of plastic. The Adept is centred and has the capacity to fit atomizers with a diameter of up to 26mm with no overhang.

Durability and Water Testing

The Adept has an IP67 certification. It is dust-resistant and waterproof up one metre deep and up to 30 minutes. The device is also designed to be shock-absorbent, hence the addition of a protective silicon layer.

Coil Options and Airflow

The Adept has two coil options. The New PLEX3D coil, a 0.48ohm mesh coil and a 1.6-ohm round wire coils similar to what is used on the zenith tank. Both coils have a mesh ring at the top limits spit back, which is another clever touch by Innokin.

Battery Life and Charging

With average use, you can vape up to three tanks in one charge, which is enough to cover the needs of most people. The battery has a sign on top that lights up every time you vape. Depending on the battery level, the colours of the LED will light up differently.

The battery sign lights up when the device is plugged in and turns off when fully charged. The device charges at a 2-amp rate and the time to a full charge is slightly over two hours which is impressive given the battery capacity of the device, and also it has a pass-through feature that allows you to vape as the device is charging.
