Cat7 cables also operate at a frequency of 600 MHz (vs. 250 MHz on Cat6). Cat7 cables are designed to offer up to 10,000 Mbit/s at 100 meters. The Cat7 cable is backward compatible with Cat6, Cat5 and Cat5e cable categories.
