This wonderful design originates from a set of vestments created in 1848 by Augustus Pugin. 'Talbot' was intended for his own church, St Augustine's Abbey, Ramsgate, England, where he is buried. Jewel-like colours shine through interlocking ogees in this exquisite pattern of fleur de lys and quatrefoil motifs, resembling medieval stained-glass windows. 'Talbot' forms the basis for our 'Alton' fabric, which was a later addition to the Watts & Co. collection.
