 The author : Everard Feith, named Everhardi Feithii in Latin and Everhardus Feithius in Dutch, (c. 1597 in Elbourg, province of Gelderland, Netherlands - disappeared in 1625 in La Rochelle, France) is a Dutch writer. He published works on ancient Greece, all manuscripts and the vast majority lost.
Everard Feith was born in 1597 in Elbourg in the Netherlands, a village in the province of Gelderland. He belongs to a notable family in the region. He completed a training in humanities, then studied the history of ancient Greece, which he did not complete. He studies ancient Greek and Hebrew, languages ​​he masters. Due to civil unrest in the Netherlands, he moved to France, where he gave lessons in ancient Greek. He became friends with Isaac Casaubon, Pierre Dupuy and the president of Thou. On a visit to La Rochelle in 1625, he entered a house, where he never came out and his body was never discovered.
