The Gaia rubber self-ballasted mounting system installs solar panels on flat roofs in a south-facing configuration at a 10° tilt angle. The base is made from 100% recycled rubber, which eliminates roof penetrations and protects waterproof membranes. No tools are required for assembly. The interlocking design locks rows together to resist wind without requiring additional ballast blocks in most cases.
The system can also be configured for east-west orientation or adapted for southeast and southwest roof aspects. Further installation guidance and a short video are available on the Voltacon solar blog.
