A larger fragment of Mammuthus Primigenius (Woolly Mammoth) tusk bark, sourced from the permafrost of the Taimyr Peninusla, Sibera. 
This fossilized tusk fragment dates to approximately 30,000 years old and comes from a world renowned location, known for its incredibly well preserved Pleistocene material. 

This section of tusk bark has a lovely patina, with natural unpolished character and clear growth lines and textured layering of the tusks natural formation. Its colourations and texture changes are thanks to the Siberian permafrost sealing it from the outside world for the last approximately 30,000 years. Every change of color and texture resembles a moment in time that took place during this period.
