Eighteen years on the Isle of Skye changes a whisky. The coastal ferocity is still there the smoke, the brine, the signature black pepper but time has woven in dried fruit, toffee and a warmth that the younger expressions don’t yet have. Nose: Warm smoke, dried fruit, vanilla, sea salt and a hint of dark chocolate.

Palate: Rich and rounded with peat, toffee, ripe stone fruit and white pepper.

Finish: Long, elegant and quietly smoky.
