A Very Handsome Omega Dynamic Date with a Beautiful Black and Gold 'Sand' Textured Dial and Elliptical Polished Steel Case, from the 1970s
The Omega Dynamic watch, introduced by the renowned Swiss watchmaker Omega in the late 1960s, marked a significant departure from traditional timepiece designs. Initially launched in 1968, the Dynamic was crafted to embody the cultural and artistic shifts of the era, with a focus on ergonomics and aesthetics.
The first version of the Dynamic was part of the Geneve collection and featured an innovative elliptical case—a design specifically tailored to complement the natural shape of the wrist, enhancing wearer comfort. This distinctive style was enhanced by bold, avant-garde dial designs, which became a hallmark of the series.
What's on Offer
This Omega Dynamic is stunning, just look at that 'sand' textured dial in black with flecks of gold, so unusual. There is also a striking seconds track in brilliant white to the outer edge and applied baton markers with luminous pips on the hour plots. The chunky pencil hands in black and white also have luminous inserts and the zesty orange needle hand adds a sporty punch of colour.
The dial is completed by a subtle date aperture at 3 o'clock and an applied Omega emblem at 12.
The dial is encapsulated underneath an Omega-signed acrylic crystal and encased in a polished stainless steel elliptical case.
The case does show some minimal signs of wear, nothing unexpected with a watch of this age.
The watch is paired with its original black integrated Corfam strap and looks incredible on the wrist! A very nice watch indeed, we will be sad to see this one go too!
