Non ispirati ma identici agli orecchini che indossa Frida Kahlo nel suo celebre autoritratto del 1940 dove ha il capo cinto da una corona di garofani, i Frida Manine Earrings nascono da un’idea e da un disegno della graphic designer Claudia Intino, mia splendida amica e collaboratrice, che ha dedicato a numerose donne, tra le più importanti in ambito musicale e artistico dell’ultimo secolo, una serie di meravigliosi ritratti.

Gli orecchini sono pendenti, hanno una monachina circolare dalla quale pendono le manine con le dita rivolte verso il basso e richiamano l’idea di un antico amuleto portafortuna.

Not inspired by, but identical to the earrings worn by Frida Kahlo in her famous 1940 self-portrait, where she wears a crown of carnations around her head, the Frida Manine Earrings are the brainchild of graphic designer Claudia Intino, my wonderful friend and collaborator, who has dedicated a series of marvellous portraits to some of the most important women in music and art of the last century.

The earrings are pendants with a circular monachina from which hang small hands with fingers pointing downwards, evoking the idea of an ancient good luck charm.
