Description:
Mickey Jupp is a singer-songwriter who has had a major impact on pub rock and sparked the punk movement. His home recordings, whose songs have been recorded by Paul Weller, Nick Lowe, Dr. Feelgood, and many others, are now available on CD for the first time. He began recording in the 1960s. His incisive lyrics and superb vocals have been compared to Chuck Berry, and his songs have been recorded by such diverse artists as Dr Feelgood, Ricky Nelson, The Judds, Nick Lowe, Elkie Brooks, and a young Paul Weller. Mickey moved to a remote village in the Lake District over 30 years ago. In a small cottage, he wrote and recorded over 300 songs just to satisfy his burning desire to create, but they are not yet available to the public.UpSnakes, Down Ladders" is the first installment of a project to master these home recordings and release them on CD and digital for the first time.
