Astronauts
Description:
<The final work in the "The Single Life of Toru Ueshiba♪ Reissue Series" is a transformation that overturns the image of Astronauts, who are widely known as an instrumental band. Travelin Men", the first CD release in Japan, is the eighth original work of Astronauts. It is the last album by Astronauts and a bold transformation. The production team was replaced, the sound style was completely changed, and the emphasis was placed on the chorus. I am sure that the former fans could not hide their surprise. The new album was produced by Snuff Garrett and arranged by Leon Russell, while Al Schmidt of RCA had previously been in charge of the production. The vocal tracks have always been R&B and rock 'n' roll covers, and although some of them can be found on this album, the overall impression is clearly a shift to a new era of pop-rock. This "new style" album reaffirms Astronauts as a "normal" pop-rock group. This is a significant album in the history of Astronauts that cannot be passed up. Commentary: Toru Ueshiba
